The
Gearbox
It's the heart of every
power trowel - that's why every component inside is engineered to our
stringent specifications. Each gearbox features a
proven one-piece hardened worm gear and bronze-composite drive gear.
Both shafts are mode of
precision machined stress-proof steel. Additionally, trowels
equipped with our new high-capacity gearboxes offer 50% greater oil
capacity and feature large tapered bearings to minimize friction and
reduce operating temperature.
Wear Plates
Spider assemblies are
equipped with hardened spring steel wear plates that prevent war of major
components. An upper plate protects the heavy-duty flanged bearing
while a lower plate protects the bottom of the thrust collar from
wear. These inexpensive plates greatly reduce maintenance costs.
Spider Hub
The spider hub is made from
high-quality class-35 cast iron and is machined to exact tolerances by CNC
equipment. Spider life is greatly extended through the use of bronze
brushings that reduce maintenance costs.

Bushings
Oil-impregnated bronze bushings eliminate
wear on the thrust collar and spider hub. Replacement bushings are
economically priced to bring the spider back to factory specifications at
a low cost.
Trowel Arms
Each trowel arm is machined to exact
tolerances and inspected for trueness to eliminate chatter for a smooth
professional finish. Extended trowel arms and stabilizer rings are
standard equipment on 46" and larger machines.
Trowel Arm
Adjustment Fixture
A must for every technician servicing a
trowel. Simplifies locating arms that are out of adjustment and
restores optimum performance.
Warranty
Whiteman's more than 50-year history of
quality design and manufacturing enables us to offer a full twelve-month
