Wet screeds were prone to high maintenance, especially in connection to drive mechanisms between the engine and exciter. The ScreeDemon has no flex or rigid shaft connection. A simple, durable, low cost rubber isolator drives the eccentric
The magnesium screed bar is designed to work within the natural frequency of the screed/bar combination. The back-to-back double triangular design is very rigid and offers comparatively uniform vibration along the full length of the bar. The result is a more uniformly vibrated slab complete with uniform fine depth at the surface. Most Screeds bolt to their screed bars, however, the ScreeDemon simply clamps to the specially designed bar. No holes to weaken the screed bar, and no threads to complicate assembly/disassembly. The ScreeDemon goes together and comes apart in seconds. Blades do not come with this unit, but various sizes are optional below.
The ScreeDemon has been tested by MBW exposed operators to excessive hand/arm vibration. The ScreeDemon's patent pending mount retention method enables use of low durometer isolators without loss of operator control. Hand/arm vibration is 50 to 90% lower than competitive screeds.
